Project Ferrari
In the previous Product News for Q2 2024, our Product Line Manager, Torgeir Lyngstad, talked about a project that our Product and Development Department was working on leading up to Christmas last year.
We called this Project Ferrari, and the focus was to enhance the performance of our systems.
We are in the process of "parking the Ferrari" and rolling out the very last changes of the project. Tests we have conducted so far show a 15-50% improvement in performance.
The preliminary results are very promising, with noticeable improvements in both user-friendliness and system efficiency.
Further testing will take place throughout the year as all improvements are implemented.
In the project, we aimed to ensure faster loading of invoice images, improved navigation and editing of posting lines, as well as optimizing the distribution to approvers and the utilization of accounting templates.
Yes, we harp on this a lot, but there's a good reason for that.
Degree of automation refers to the proportion of financial processes that can be performed without manual intervention. We have several customers today who automate over 90% of their invoice management processes! This is impressive!
Many companies have a satisfactory level, but there is often room for improvement, especially in areas such as manual data entry, voucher approval and follow-up. Effective system integrations and real-time monitoring of the invoice flow can contribute to a seamless workflow without delays.
By analyzing these factors, you can get a realistic understanding of your current position.

New Customer Success Manager
Joanna Essim has recently joined the Compello team as Customer Success Manager. Her task is to ensure that our customers get the most out of our products and to provide a positive experience from the first contact.
Joanna will ensure that our customers get the most out of Compello and make sure you have a positive experience. With a vision to increase the level of automation for our customers, Joanna is ready to be an important part of this exciting journey together with you.
Degree of automation - where are you, where are we?
The degree of automation is a frequent topic for us, and for good reason. We have set an ambitious goal to achieve 90% automation across our customer base by 2028.
We continuously measure this based on up to 30 parameters, and since the last edition of product news, this number has increased! The number has been rising since we started measuring it, and in the last measurement, we were at 76%!
This gives us a good indication that many of our customers have more automated processes today, but there is still significant potential to increase this level further among many of you.

First up is automated approval workflow:
Implementing approval workflows provides numerous benefits. The process is automated, saving you significant time in distribution. You can customize and set up the flow with logic based on your chosen cost carriers. Check out the steps below or see examples in our interactive demo!
First up is automated approval flow:
- Open the Rules module in Compello. You'll find it along the blue menu bar to the left.
- Create a new rule by first selecting the client, then click on the + sign next to Files and search function.
- Name the rule and define criteria such as user and document status.
- Customize the "If" section:
Drag and drop the criteria to the "If" section.
Customize the criteria to your company's needs. - Specify which lines the rule should apply to and the desired approver. Finish with Save. You will now find the rule in the list.
- You can build on the rule with a distribution rule.
- For example, add a 2nd approver as shown in the example.
- Save: Finish setting up the approval flow by saving your changes.
To switch to English or Danish, click the A symbol located at the top right corner of the screen to adjust the language settings.
New releases:
1. New widget in the dashboard:
In the dashboard, the approver will now have the ability to get an overview of invoices that are 'on the way' to them, thus being prepared for upcoming approvals. Only available for the Approver role.
2. New Invoice Layout EHF
We are now launching an improved invoice display, specifically tailored to the interface screen. With a cleaner and more intuitive design, it becomes easier to navigate, verify, and approve invoices.
The new layout provides you with a better overview of important details, allowing you to work more efficiently and reduce unnecessary clicks. Here is what the new layout looks like:
