Since 1912, W. Engelsen Ettf. AS has been a leading contractor in Sunnhordland and Haugalandet. The family business, now led by the fourth generation, has had an impressive development since its inception. Today, W. Engelsen Ettf. AS handles finances and operations for three growing companies: Engelsen Bygg AS, Engelsen Entreprenør AS, and Engelsen & Leirvik AS.
Age is no obstacle!
Almost 100 years old and young at heart, W. Engelsen Ettf. AS, also known as Engelsengruppen, decided in 2009 to automate their invoice management by using Compello. They had a large number of invoices that they handled manually, and the need for more efficiency arose.
With the high number of invoices they handle today, Compello gives them a more user-friendly and scalable solution. Today, they use the ERP system Xledger, and in combination with Compello, they have increased efficiency and reduced a large part of the repetitive, manual tasks in the finance department.

The finance department currently consists of three employees who handle more than 7,000 invoices annually, a high proportion of which come via EHF. It is not uncommon for several hundred invoices to be received in a single day. Kristine Engelsen, Finance Manager at Engelsgruppen, highlights the efficient user flow as one of Compello's many features. The invoices can be reviewed by two to three people in the company, and they easily manage the process themselves in the system.
Automation has not only increased the accuracy of invoice data, but also reduced the need for manual processes.

Kristine confirms that there are very few errors in Compello, and if they discover anything, it is most likely human error that they correct themselves.
With a total of 73 employees across the four companies, they wanted a flexible solution for invoice management and financial overview. Today, there are around 20 active users in Compello working with vouchers.
With the mobile app, accountants, project managers and approvers have the opportunity to approve vouchers and keep track of the finances in the project, regardless of whether they are at the construction site or the office.
The automation they have achieved with Compello gives the company's three finance staff an efficient workflow, reduced error margin, good user experience and more time for other important financial tasks.
